April 2014 update

Hi All,

Did up another rendition of ‘What’s This?’ and added it to the “original music” on the “KickbacK” page. Took some time to think up something a little more interesting for my solo stuff. Bass and Guitar player did the same so all of us were happier with the end product. I’m really digging the new setups I have for the overall sound. KickbacK is working on another original tune and I, myself, am working on a couple of other grooves I would like to use for future tunes.

Still haven’t found another set of drums yet. Sure wish I had them now. I’m very busy now and it would make all the gigs I have a little easier because I wouldn’t have to take my ‘studio’ set out all the time. I have a set of Rogers drums that I can use but, I have found using a smaller kick drum much more comfortable to use. (the Rogers is a 22″) I updated the ‘Covers’ page and the ‘KickbacK Original Audio’ page. Check out the new stuff!

Sophie and the Shufflehounds continue to get tighter. Part of that success is due to the fact that we have gigged quite often in the last couple of months. Another plus to gigging more, of course – better technique. I have been practicing rudiments a lot more lately and have really noticed it when playing gigs. Remember to support live music! Cheers!
