Hi All,

Well. our trip to Mexico is a distant memory now. (middle of March). We decided to go somewhere different this year and chose Puerto Vallarta. We really lucked out because there just happened to be a Jazz Festival happening! Fantastic! We stayed about a 10 minute walk from the action. It’s always fun jamming with the locals and I try to do that whenever I travel. I did sit in for about an hour and a half with a band playing on the beach. As you might expect, played some great Latin grooves.

Back at home, the Saturday Jam continues. We all celebrated the 1 year anniversary of us starting the Leaf Homemade Jam. Warren is taking some more time off over the summer so George Hauser will take over the Bass Guitar duties when he is absent. I booked Howard to play the same dates so it will be KickbacK hosting for a few dates. Howard has been up for any dates I have asked him to do and has almost become the ‘house guitar player’ for the jam.

Look for some new pics and vids in the future!

January 2018

Hi All,

Back teaching after the Christmas break. My students are getting ready for their March recitals. I have Guitar and Drum students so it keeps me on my toes!

Working on a couple of new songs. One is a funky kind of thing and the other is a shuffle. I played the Bass Guitar on the funky song so it’s a pretty simple Bass line. lol. Actually, I’m thinking about getting a ‘real’ Bass player to do the part so we’ll see.

The jam session that I have been doing for a long time has had a major change. Myself and the Bass player, Warren, have taken over the running of the show. We’re calling it the Bonedog and Razor show. I’ve managed to come by the monicker, ‘Razor Ray’. Don’t know how. It’s better than ‘Sugar Ray, the Price of Pound’, which is what Mike C used to call me.

Still having fun and still striving to improve as a player. Talk to you next time!
